History Group
The village has a rich history as set out in the History of Stretton-on-Fosse section of the website.
We are grateful to Donald Holdsworth for a book on the village as well as a huge archive of records and photographs over 200 years.

There are some copies of his book available at 11 The Green (or email Izzi on strettononfosse@gmail.com).
The History Group has been revived first to catalogue the records and then to collect further information about recent and future developments in the village.
In due course this wealth of information needs to be securely archived.

The Group intends to research aspects of Stretton’s history and to hold appropriate exhibitions. The first such exhibition which was accompanied by a display of locally found artefacts held in the village hall proved very popular
